The ruling MDP’s presidential candidate President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih says that overseas banks have expressed their interest in funding the development projects in his pledges to the people.
President Solih who is touring Noon Atoll as part of his “Happy and Peaceful Maldives” presidential campaign told the residents of Kendhikulhudhoo island that foreign banks trust his government.
President Solih said that MDA’s leader MP Ahmed Siyam Mohamed played a pivotal role in building the trust with the overseas banks. Also, President Solih said that MP Siyam is considered a precious asset in his coalition.
President Solih said that foreign parties that he had met after launching his presidential campaign “Happy and Peaceful Maldives” were delighted to learn that his main partner in the contest was MP Siyam.
“Those parties guaranteed us funding capital requirements of the government”, said President Solih.
