President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih officially inaugurated the newly upgraded harbor on Hinnavaru Island in Lhaviyani Atoll on Thursday.
The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) was contracted to complete the harbor upgrading project. The project encompassed a range of significant improvements, including deepening the harbor basin, constructing a 123-meter breakwater and 114-meter groynes, and installing a 653-meter quay wall. Other pertinent harbor enhancement initiatives were also executed as part of the project.
Under President Solih's leadership, the administration has achieved significant strides towards equitable development across all inhabited islands in the Maldives. This includes enhancing the quality of life for citizens and empowering them to lead dignified lives.
