The MDP presidential candidate, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, has said that he will win the second round of the presidential election by five goals to two goals.

Speaking about the first round of the Presidential elections, at a campaign event held in the city tonight, MDP presidential candidate President Ibrahim Mohammed Solih said the first half of the football match is over and winning the first half is not the end of the match. The President said he went into the changing room at half-time and has planned to move ahead to win the match.

"We have changed players in some positions. We will bring out the strong ones. We will score goal after goal," he said.

The second round has been arranged, he said. He said the team is now in "attack" mode and ready to score.

"Sometimes at the end of the first half you lose by 3 - 1 or 4 - 1, some will win. Considering this we are at 3 - 1 today. Hopefully in the second half we will score 2 more goals and we will win by 5 - 2,” the President said.

The President also said that the top priority in the second round of the presidential election is to re-register to vote. The President then asked the MDP teams to visit house to house and explain the reasons for voting for the party.

The second round of voting is scheduled for the 30th of this month. In the second round of the Presidential elections President Solih is competing against Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
