Chinese Minister of Foreign Affairs has stated that China wants to enhance political trust with the Maldives.
H.E. Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs stated this in his congratulatory message to H.E. Moosa Zameer, on his appointment as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives.
In his message, Minister Wang Yi stressed that China and Maldives are friendly neighbors.
"Since the establishment of diplomatic relations, China and Maldives have always respected each other, treated each other as equals, and firmly supported each other on the issues related to each other’s core interests and major concerns," said Minister Wang Yi in his message.
He also expressed interest in working with the Maldives to carry forward traditional friendship, enhance political trust, and deepen practical cooperation.
