Former MTCC Managing Director Adam Azim has decided to contest the MDP Mayoral primary.
After submitting his nomination papers for the MDP primary, Azim said today that he decided to contest for the post of Mayor of the city to improve the city from the current situation.
Azim said he is contesting the primary with a plan to make Male' a comfortable place. He also assured that there are things that can be implemented during the short term as Mayor.
The Mayor seat of the city became vacant after former Mayor Dr. Mohamed Muizzu won the presidential election and took office on the 17th of this month.
Following this, the Election Commission has decided to hold a by-election to elect a candidate for the Mayor of the city on January 13 next year.
