According to provisional results, the opposition MDP's candidate, Adam Azim, won the Male' City mayoral by-election by a significant margin.

Azim received 5,303 votes in today's election, which took place from 8 am to 5 pm. Aishath Azima Shukoor, from the ruling main party, PNC, received 3,301 votes. Mohammed Saif Fathih, the Democrat candidate, received 1,634 votes, while Hussain Vaheed, the PNF candidate, received 1,236. The provisional results indicate that Shuaib Ali, who contested as an independent candidate, received 91 votes.

Adam Azim, the candidate from MDP, has won the mayoral election with a significant lead, according to provisional results.

According to the Election Commission, 56,002 people were eligible to vote in the mayoral election.
