December 2nd; the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 21 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.

The total positive cases recorded includes 20 people infected in the greater Male’ area and one person infected outside the greater Male’ area.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 13,070 cases, including 1,015 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.

So far, HPA has taken 248,153 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 1,862 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 33 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 12,001.

According to HPA, there are 91 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 47 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
