December 6th; the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 39 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.

The total positive cases recorded includes 37 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 02 people infected outside the greater Male’ area.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 13,198 cases, including 823 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.

So far, HPA has taken 255,794 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 2,267 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 57 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 12,321.

According to HPA, there are 71 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 47 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
