Malaysia Airlines has unveiled plans to introduce direct flights to the Maldives later this year, marking a significant milestone in its expansion strategy. The airline also announced the launch of new routes to Chiang Mai, Thailand, and Da Nang, Vietnam, further enhancing its connectivity within the region.

Scheduled to commence on August 1, Malaysia Airlines will inaugurate daily flights between Kuala Lumpur and the Maldives' Velana International Airport. The introduction of these direct flights aims to facilitate seamless travel between the two destinations, offering passengers greater convenience and accessibility. Tickets for these flights are currently available for booking, with one-way fares starting at $200 and round-trip fares at $299.



In addition to the Maldives, Malaysia Airlines will inaugurate scheduled daily flights to Da Nang, Vietnam, starting from September 24. This new route will provide travelers with enhanced accessibility to the culturally rich city of Da Nang, known for its pristine beaches and vibrant culinary scene.

Furthermore, Malaysia Airlines will introduce five flights a week to Chiang Mai, Thailand, commencing from August 15. This expansion reflects the airline's commitment to catering to the growing demand for travel to popular leisure destinations within the region.
