The local man who passed away this Friday morning is the 48th death reported from Covid-19 complications in the Maldives.
The 69-year-old man was admitted to Dharumavantha Hospital for further treatment to Covid-19, while he passed away at 09:43 am on Friday. The Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirms that this would be the 48th death from complications of Covid.
So far, over 13,000 cases have been reported positive to Covid-19 in the Maldives, from which, 66 people are admitted to hospitals for further treatments.
