Adam Rameez, Minister at the Presidential Office, has been suspended in connection with an ongoing investigation, confirmed Heena Waleed, spokesperson for the President’s Office. Rameez, known to be a close associate of President Muizzu, faces suspension as part of the probe.

Meanwhile, his ex-wife, Environment Ministry State Minister Fathimath Shamnaz Saleem, has been arrested on charges of practicing black magic. Shamnaz Saleem has also been suspended due to her involvement in the case.

Two other individuals have been arrested alongside Shamnaz Saleem on charges of black magic. They have been remanded in custody for seven days as the investigation continues.
