Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, Moosa Zameer, met with Saudi Arabia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud, today in Riyadh as part of his official visit to the Kingdom.

During the meeting at the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Zameer delivered a letter from Maldives President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.



The two ministers reflected on the strong friendship and cooperation between their nations, emphasizing their shared Islamic heritage and values. They discussed enhancing bilateral relations and exploring opportunities for increased multilateral cooperation. They also considered scheduling the first round of bilateral political consultations between the Maldives and Saudi Arabia.

Minister Zameer expressed appreciation for Saudi Arabia's longstanding support and looked forward to deepening bilateral engagements. He was accompanied by Ambassador-at-Large Ahmed Naseer, Joint Secretary Badoora Saeed, Director General Aishath Fareena, and Chargé d'affaires Ahmed Fazeel.
