Ali Ihsaan, Minister of Homeland Security and Technology, has praised the results of the joint operational concept introduced by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, following a recent successful crackdown on illegal activities.

Minister Ihsaan's comments come in the wake of a significant operation by the Maldives Immigration Task Force, which led to the recent arrest of five foreigners involved in illegal activities.

In a statement posted on "X" (formerly Twitter), Minister Ihsaan highlighted that the joint operational concept, implemented since President Muizzu took office on November 17, 2023, is yielding positive results. The recent operation, which targeted illegal immigrants and black market currency dealings, resulted in the confiscation of significant amounts of cash and numerous credit cards from the arrested individuals.

Minister Ihsaan extended his gratitude to the dedicated leaders and brave employees from various institutions who played a role in the successful operation.

The arrests, carried out by a combined team from Immigration and the police, were part of a special initiative aimed at curbing illegal immigration and related criminal activities. The operation underscores the government's commitment to enhancing national security and enforcing law and order.

Minister Ihsaan's remarks signal continued efforts by the administration to address internal security challenges through coordinated and strategic operations.
