Ambassadors from seven countries presented their credentials to President Dr. Mohammed Muizzu at a ceremony held at the Presidential Palace this Monday.

The new ambassadors are:

1. The Ambassador of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria to the Maldives, His Excellency Dr Ali Achoui.

2. The Ambassador of the Republic of Djibouti to the Maldives, His Excellency Issé Abdillahi Assoweh.

3. The Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Maldives, His Excellency Elchin Nariman oglu Huseynli.

4. Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Maldives, His Excellency Dr. Nikolay Yankov.

5. Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam to the Republic of Maldives, Her Excellency Trinh Thi Tam.

6. Ambassador of the Georgia to the Republic of Maldives, His Excellency Vakhtang Jaoshvili.

7. Ambassador of the Qatar to the Republic of Maldives, His Excellency Jassim bin Jaber J.B. Al-Sorour.

All the ambassadors presented today are non-resident ambassadors to the Maldives.

Following the ceremony, President Muizzu engaged with the ambassadors individually to discuss ways to further strengthen bilateral relations between the Maldives and their respective countries.
