Tourism Minister Ibrahim Faisal has emphasized that the government's Five Million Trees Project is a significant advancement toward sustainable tourism.
He made this statement during a meeting with Housing Ministry officials at the Tourism Ministry earlier today.
Minister Faisal highlighted the project’s role in enhancing environmental protection and promoting sustainable tourism. He assured that the Ministry of Tourism will fully support resorts in their tree-planting efforts under this initiative.
Launched by President Muizzu on Environment Day this year, the Five Million Trees Project aims to plant over 90 species of trees across the Maldives. The initiative is part of the government’s broader strategy to improve environmental sustainability and support the tourism sector.
