President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu participated in the opening segment of the Summit of the Future at the United Nations Headquarters, an event aimed at uniting world leaders to address pressing global challenges and secure a better future.

This two-day Summit focuses on accelerating progress on existing international commitments and tackling emerging issues through the Pact for the Future, an action-oriented outcome document designed to meet the realities of the 21st century. Among its key initiatives are the establishment of a Global Digital Compact and a Declaration on Future Generations, both intended to create mechanisms that reflect contemporary global dynamics.

During the Summit, President Muizzu is scheduled to deliver a statement at the Plenary Segment and co-chair an interactive dialogue titled “Towards a Common Digital Future: Strengthening Inclusive Innovation and Cooperation to Bridge the Digital Divide.” This dialogue aims to foster collaboration and innovation to address disparities in digital access and technology.
