President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu emphasized that the Maldives’ participation in the interactive dialogue of the UN Summit of the Future is a key opportunity to advance digitalization.
President Muizzu, in a video message shared on social media following his co-chairing of the dialogue, confidently described the session as a significant platform to promote the digital economy and expand digitalization efforts.
The President co-chaired the dialogue titled "Towards a Common Digital Future," where he highlighted the chance to seek support for enhancing digitalization in the Maldives, particularly for the youth and other stakeholders. He also emphasized the importance of building strong relationships with international partners to drive digital transformation.
"This is an opportunity to make the Maldives’ name known in the international community. I am hopeful for positive outcomes," President Muizzu said.
The dialogue was co-chaired by Estonian President Alar Karis, with participation from representatives of about 190 countries.
