President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has expressed his deep sorrow and condolences to the people of Nepal after tragic floods and landslides resulted in significant loss of life and numerous injuries.

In a message shared on social media, President Muizzu extended his heartfelt sympathies to Nepal's Prime Minister, K.P. Sharma Oli, and the bereaved families affected by the disaster.

"I wish for a swift recovery for the injured and the safe return of those missing," he wrote, emphasizing The Maldives' solidarity with Nepal during this challenging time. President Muizzu reaffirmed the strong bond between the two nations, referring to Nepal as a "neighbor and friend."



The devastating floods and landslides in Nepal have caused widespread destruction, claiming lives, displacing communities, and leaving many injured or missing. Rescue operations are underway, and international support is being mobilized to assist in recovery efforts.

The Maldives joins other countries in extending its condolences and offering support to Nepal in the wake of this tragic natural disaster.
