Former Vice President Dr. Mohamed Jameel Ahmed has called on President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu to lead by example, criticizing his conduct and accusing him of spreading misinformation. Dr. Jameel's remarks were shared in a strongly-worded message on social media today.

Dr. Jameel alleged that President Muizzu has contradicted many of his previous statements and has been misleading the public on key issues, including promises made during his tenure. He cited examples such as the release of former President Abdulla Yameen, the presence of the Indian military in the Maldives, the flats and land allocations for the Maldivian people, and infrastructure projects like the three bridges and the proposed Rasmale' Tunnel.

The former Vice President further accused President Muizzu of fostering a culture of dishonesty, claiming that lying and deceit have become national concerns under his leadership. He called on the President to reform himself and take responsibility for the damage caused by misinformation.

Dr. Jameel warned of the dangers posed by the spread of false news and misinformation, stating that it has caused significant harm to the nation and its people.
