Maldives Customs has successfully intercepted a shipment of drugs that was smuggled into the country under the guise of vape oil.

Minister of Homeland Security and Technology, Ali Ihusan announced on X that the shipment contained cannabis disguised as vape oil. He noted that this incident underscores the rationale behind President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's decision to implement a ban on vaping in the Maldives.
