The Ministry's report, released on November 6, shows that as of November 5, the Maldives had welcomed a total of 1,693,952 tourists, marking a 9.5 percent increase compared to the same period last year. This month, the Maldives has seen an average of 7,326 daily tourist arrivals, with 29,304 visitors arriving in the first few days of November alone.
Among the top countries contributing to Maldives tourism, China leads, followed by Russia, with 189,193 tourists, and the United Kingdom in third with 145,774 visitors.
The government has set a target of 2.3 million tourist arrivals by the end of the year, and tourism authorities remain optimistic about reaching this milestone.
