Ahmed Siyam Mohamed (Sun Siyam), the Member of Parliament for Meedhoo constituency, has called for the resubmission of the budget proposed to the People's Majlis for the coming year, with details included.

During today's floor debate on the budget, Siyam said that when a budget is submitted, details should be known.

Siyam also said that as he was elected as a member by the votes of the constituency's people, his consultation is needed by the people of the constituency in bringing about the development they need.

Siyam also said that this is the first budget submitted without details in his over 20 years of experience in the Majlis.

He also said that the people want things to be carried out in an open and transparent manner.

Siyam said that the budget should include details of expenditure on education and other matters. He also said that the budget submitted by the government is not how any government or company would submit a budget.

"The total is 56 billion rufiyaa. While that's the case, we don't know what it's being spent on. So, on behalf of the people's rights, Mr. Speaker, I propose to completely change this budget and give us this book again with details we can understand," Siyam said.

Siyam further said that if one votes for something unknown, Allah will punish them even on the Day of Judgment.
