January 22nd, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 65 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.
The total positive cases recorded includes 38 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 24 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. This includes 26 people positive from operational resorts.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 14,830 cases, including 1,042 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.
So far, HPA has taken 379,612 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 2,882 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 48 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 13,731.
According to HPA, there are 69 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 50 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
