January 26th, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 145 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.
The total positive cases recorded includes 93 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 52 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 36 people are positive from operational resorts.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 15,247 cases, including 1,273 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.
So far, HPA has taken 394,278 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 3,338 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 32 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 13,916.
According to HPA, there are 93 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 51 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
