First Lady Sajidha Mohamed has emphasized the crucial role of NGOs in addressing societal issues and reaching communities beyond the scope of state institutions.
She made these remarks while speaking at Moms Aid’s 6th Anniversary Gala and Fundraiser, held at Villa College’s QI Campus.
The First Lady stressed that empowering NGOs should be a priority for any government, as they play a key role in tackling challenges such as violence against women and advocating for women's empowerment.
The event featured a video presentation highlighting Moms Aid’s work over the past six years, the launch of the "Fundraiser for Hope for Moms Campaign," and the announcement of the organization's "2025 Impact Partners."
The First Lady also presented commemorative plaques to five members of the Moms Aid team in recognition of their contributions.
