President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu on Tuesday visited the e-Estonia Briefing Centre as part of his official visit to Estonia, gaining insights into the country’s digital governance and technological advancements.

President Dr. Muizzu was welcomed by Triin Joasaare, Head of the e-Estonia Briefing Centre, and Joonas Vänto, Acting Head of the International Services Division and Director of the Estonian Investment Agency at Enterprise Estonia.

During the visit, the Maldives delegation received a comprehensive presentation on Estonia’s digital transformation, including its advanced e-governance systems. The briefing covered key innovations such as e-residency, digital ID, e-taxation, and secure data exchange via the X-Road system. The delegation also explored how Estonia has successfully integrated digital solutions to enhance efficiency and accessibility in public services.

President Dr. Muizzu is in Estonia at the invitation of Estonian President Dr. Alar Karis, accompanied by a high-level delegation, including representatives from the Maldivian tech sector. The visit aims to explore potential collaborations in digital governance, cybersecurity, and technology-driven development.
