Vice President His Excellency Uz Hussain Mohamed Latheef departed on an official visit to Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), on Sunday, to attend the World Government Summit 2025, which will be held from February 11-13, 2025.
This year's summit, themed "Shaping Future Governments," aims to bring together governments, international organizations, thought leaders, and private sector representatives from around the world. The event will focus on fostering international cooperation and developing innovative solutions to address future global challenges.
Vice President Latheef is scheduled to deliver a statement at the Climate Change Forum, addressing key environmental issues, and will also engage in meetings with various dignitaries attending the summit.
The World Government Summit 2025 follows the participation of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu in last year’s summit, where he outlined a vision for the Maldives focused on sustainable development and a forward-thinking approach to governance.
