Education Minister Dr. Ismail Shafeeu has confirmed that all necessary preparations have been completed for the start of the new academic year.

Speaking to state media, the minister said the Ministry of Education has ensured that schools across the country are equipped with the required resources, similar to previous years. This includes the timely provision of textbooks, adequate teaching staff, and essential learning materials.

Dr. Shafeeu noted that this year, textbooks have been distributed more comprehensively than in previous years. He assured that efforts are ongoing to provide students with their books promptly, once school placements are finalized.

He also emphasised the importance of collaboration among teachers, parents, and the wider community in delivering quality education. The minister encouraged students to make the upcoming academic year one of unity and dedication.

The new academic year is set to begin on April 7 and will conclude in December.
