President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu met with a senior delegation from TikTok on Wednesday at the President's Office to explore areas of collaboration, particularly in support of the Maldives' digital transformation agenda.
The meeting focused on expanding cooperation with the popular social media platform, as the President shared his administration’s vision to accelerate the digitalization of the Maldives. According to the President's Office, the TikTok representatives expressed their support and readiness to contribute towards realizing that goal.
Both parties also discussed future initiatives, including opportunities to empower Maldivians in leveraging platforms like TikTok for economic benefits.
