First Lady Madam Sajidha Mohamed visited the Peranakan Museum in Singapore on Tuesday as part of her ongoing state visit alongside President Dr Mohamed Muizzu.
She was welcomed by Mr Clement Onn, Director of the Asian Civilisations Museum and Peranakan Museum, and given a guided tour of the exhibits. The First Lady was briefed on the museum’s extensive collections showcasing the rich heritage, history, and cultural identity of Peranakan communities in Southeast Asia.
The visit highlighted the cultural aspect of the Maldives–Singapore state visit, which marks 50 years of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
