First Lady Sajidha Mohamed has underscored the importance of compassion, dedication, and service to humanity in building a successful healthcare system during the opening of Hinithun 2025, the Maldives' first-ever International Dental Conference.

Addressing healthcare professionals and stakeholders, the First Lady called for the reimagining of dental health models to better respond to evolving public needs. She highlighted the value of preventive care, continuous learning through innovation, and expanding access to services.

While acknowledging growing awareness of oral health, she noted that dental care remains a neglected area with rising cases of tooth decay, gum disease, and oral cancers. She stressed the need for stronger healthcare systems and public policies, and emphasized that dental health is closely linked to overall well-being.

The First Lady urged participants to use the conference as a platform for collaboration and to ensure dental care is recognized as an essential part of general health services.

Hinithun 2025 brings together local and international dental professionals to elevate standards in oral healthcare across the Maldives.
