The Rt Hon Sir Lindsay Hoyle MP, Speaker of the House of Commons, received His Excellency President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu today at the Speaker’s House in the historic Palace of Westminster.
The courtesy call highlighted the longstanding ties between the Maldives and the United Kingdom, with discussions centred on shared priorities including environmental protection, sustainable tourism, fisheries, and the strengthening of democratic governance.
Following the meeting, President Muizzu signed the official Guestbook and was given a guided tour of the Palace of Westminster.
The visit reaffirmed both countries’ commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation and deepening diplomatic engagement in key sectors.
