President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has presented the National Award for Public Service to 94 individuals in recognition of their exceptional dedication to the State. The awards were presented during the official Independence Day function held this morning at the Social Centre.
Each recipient, honoured with a commemorative shield and badge, has served the State for over 40 years. The award acknowledges their longstanding commitment, integrity, and contributions to public institutions across various sectors.
The National Award for Public Service was introduced by President Muizzu to formally recognize public servants with more than 35 years of service. Those who have completed 35 to 39 years will be honoured separately during the Republic Day celebrations.
The recipients were selected by the National Awards Committee following a thorough evaluation process.
