Former MDP president Ibrahim Ismail (Ibra) has said that citizens are more concerned about justice than major development projects.
In a Facebook post, Ibra stated that people want leaders who will safeguard the fundamental rights and freedoms guaranteed in the Constitution, rather than focusing solely on large-scale development. He stressed that justice is the foremost expectation from the state.
He further urged the government, opposition, and all political actors to listen to the people’s concerns. Ibra, who played a key role in drafting the Constitution, has long advocated for the rights and freedoms it enshrines, many of which he says remain overlooked.
