Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihusaan has urged the police to serve the people with love, respect, and sincerity, stressing that policing is fundamental to a nation’s progress.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony of the 40th Basic Training Course of the Police held in Dh. Vaani last night, Minister Ali Ihusaan highlighted the crucial role of the police in maintaining peace, security, and protecting citizens’ lives and property. He said the police ensure the safety of the country, its people, and their businesses, and without peace and stability, national development cannot move forward.
The Minister also noted that major projects are underway to enhance police infrastructure, with efforts being made to extend these initiatives to villages nationwide. He emphasized that the service requires courage, patriotism, and an extraordinary sense of duty.
He urged new recruits to uphold integrity, protect human rights, and maintain the dignity of the police force. He stressed that police should always treat citizens with respect, friendship, and a smile, while fulfilling their legal duties with honor.
A total of 138 trainees, including 97 men and 41 women, took part in the 40th Basic Training Course. Of them, 116 successfully completed the program.
