First Lady Sajidha Mohamed has lauded Ahmadhiyya International School as an institution with a proud history of nurturing generations of responsible students.
Speaking at the school’s annual Prize Awarding Ceremony for secondary students this morning, the First Lady highlighted the role of community bonds, parental unity, and goodwill in sustaining the school since its modest beginnings. She noted that Ahmadhiyya has grown into a leading institution recognised for academic excellence in service to the nation.
Drawing from her own student experience, Sajidha praised the school’s high academic standards and expressed gratitude to its principal and staff for the opportunity to join the occasion. She reminded students that education is both a blessing and a responsibility, urging them to pursue knowledge as a lifelong journey, guided by faith, good morals, and hard work.
The First Lady also called on parents and teachers to instil strong values in students by working together to shape their character.
During the event, she presented awards to outstanding teachers and students, including national and global top achievers in the 2023/2024 Cambridge O’Level examinations, as well as recipients of the ‘Best All-Round’ student awards. She later toured the school’s commemorative gallery.
