The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) has dismissed State Electric Company (Stelco) Managing Director Hussain Fahmy.
The PCB confirmed today that Fahmy has been removed from his position, with former Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO) CEO Hussain Shamah appointed as his replacement. However, the board did not disclose the reason for Fahmy’s dismissal.
Fahmy, who had been with Stelco since 1998, previously served in the Procurement, Business Development, and Customer Service departments before becoming Managing Director. He was appointed to the post on November 28, 2023.
