The Maldives’ Residency by Investment Program is set to be launched in April next year, Economic Development and Trade Minister Mohamed Saeed announced.
Speaking at the 19th Global Citizenship Conference in London, Minister Saeed said the Maldives Pearl Residence program, initiated by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, reflects the government’s vision of a sustainable economy.
The Ministry of Economic Affairs described the program as a key step to attract responsible, innovative, and long-term investments to the Maldives.
An agreement with Henley & Partners was signed in July this year during President Muizzu’s visit to Singapore, under which investors will have the opportunity to settle in the Maldives. The Ministry added that the program will also open real estate investment opportunities, positioning the Maldives as a prime location for living and investing.
