The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has requested anyone who has traveled from Raa atoll Ungoofaaru island to quarantine.
After detecting a Covid-19 positive case, HPA has requested anyone who has traveled from Ungoofaaru island to any other islands, after March 2, to inform the nearest hospital or health center, and self-quarantine for 10 days. HPA has stated that the island hospital or the health center will do necessary arrangements to take samples for Covid testing.
HPA also has requested anyone who has traveled from Ungoofaaru after March 2, to Male’ to get tested for Covid from Male’-hiya flu clinic, hulhumale’ flu clinic, or villimale’ flu clinic.
The Ungoofaaru island was placed under monitoring yesterday after a 50-year-old female tested positive to Covid-19.
Ungoofaaru island is currently placed under monitoring for contact tracing and case investigation. HPA has restricted travel to and from the island until further notice.
