The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has placed Lhaviyani atoll Naifaru island under monitoring upon the detection of the Covid-19 case.
Lh. Naifaru island was placed under monitoring as 2 persons tested positive to Covid-19. As per the information received, these two had traveled to R. Ungoofaaru over the last weekend for medical treatment.
With the monitoring status, HPA has restricted travel to and from the island. Naifaru island is currently placed under monitoring for contact tracing and case investigation.
In addition to Naifaru, K. Huraa, F. Nilandhoo island, R. Ungoofaaru island, and Dh. Kudahuvadhoo island is also under monitoring status.
