March 30, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 167 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.

The total positive cases recorded include 86 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 81 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 21 people are positive from operational resorts and 59 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 23,838 cases, including 2,780 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 647,093 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 3,493 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 145 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 20,984.

According to HPA, there are 91 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 66 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition, 235,682 people across the Maldives have received the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive.
