The Bank of Maldives (BML) has made changes to its working hours adhering to the guidelines issued by the Health Protection Agency (HPA) to control the spread of the coronavirus and announcement by the Maldives Monetary Authority. The temporary changes will be effective from Wednesday, May 5 to 15, 2021.
From Wednesday onwards BML branches and service centers will be open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 09:30 am to 12 pm. In addition, the bank has given its assurance in processing International Transfers (TTs) and BML cheques during this period as well. Banks states that the requests received and cheques deposited by 11 am will be processed each day except during weekends and public holidays.
Bank has urged customers to request online tokens for the Bank’s services in Male’ City through the QueueBee app and check waiting for positions online before visiting. BML’s Account Opening Centre, Loan Centre, and Business Centres will provide services via pre-booked appointments, and appointments can be made via BML’s website.
BML has stated that the new changes were made in prioritizing the health and safety of its customers and staff. Hence, BML has encouraged customers to continue to bank from home for everyday banking, and use services available online.
