May 10, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 1204 additional cases of Covid-19 along with 729 cases reported within the last 24 hours and rest from back logged pending samples taken earlier this month.

The total positive cases recorded include 961 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 243 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 08 people are positive from operational resorts, and 235 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 37,019 cases, including 10,376 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 5,598 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 210 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 25,992.

According to HPA, there are 244 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 87 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 301,239 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 133,997 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
