August 10, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 110 additional cases of Covid-19.

The recorded positive cases include 25 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 85 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 13 people are positive from operational resorts, and 72 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 78,578 cases, including 2,562 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 5,301 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 118 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 75,778.

According to HPA, there are 19 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 222 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 332,816 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 287,599 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
