Former Housing Minister Dr Muizzu warns that if any type of drug is approved, it will be a danger for the nation. Dr Muizzu is also competing for Male’ city mayor.
He said this when Alhan Fahumy, who is also competing for Male’ city mayor, tweeted promoting the legalization of cannabis for medical purposes in the Maldives. As per Dr Muizzu, legazining any sort of drug will not benefit the future of Maldives.
Cannabis is one of the top smuggled drugs in the Maldives. Even on September 9th, a Bangladesh person was caught smuggling 4.4 kilos of cannabis into Maldives.
