PCR test no longer required to travel to local islands, said the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives.
HPA announced it along with easing most of the covid restrictions placed in the capital.
As per HPA, PCR testing prior to traveling from the capital Male’ city to local islands is no longer required.
In addition, HPA has eased off the restrictions on public gatherings and sports competitions in the capital as well. But it is advised to hold public events or gatherings in adherence to the health guidelines.
Ease of restrictions comes as daily covid cases in the Maldives drops after 2 months.
