October 28th; the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives reports 24 positive cases from 1,409 samples taken within 24 hours. This includes 20 Maldivians and 04 Foreigners.
A total of positive cases records 22 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 02 people infected outside the greater Male’ area.
With additional cases of the COVID-19, confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Maldives have increased up to 11,591. This includes 862 active cases to COVID-19 in the Maldives.
HPA also reported the recovery of 33 infected people in the last 24 hours, which adds up to a total of 10,685 people recovered.
There are active Covid-19 cases in 24 resorts and in 19 residential islands outside of the greater Male’ area. 30 Tourists and 83 staff have been tested positive for covid-19 in the resorts.
So far, Maldives has recorded 37 deaths due to complications of Covid-19.
