October 31st; the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives reports 16 positive cases from 1,204 samples taken within 24 hours. This includes 13 Maldivians and 03 Foreigners.
A total of positive cases records 13 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 03 people infected outside the greater Male’ area.
With additional cases of the COVID-19, confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Maldives have increased up to 11,659. This includes 800 active cases to COVID-19 in the Maldives.
HPA also reported the recovery of 35 infected people in the last 24 hours, which adds up to a total of 10,814 people recovered.
There are active Covid-19 cases in 27 resorts and in 18 residential islands outside of the greater Male’ area. 35 Tourists and 81 staff have been tested positive for covid-19 in the resorts.
So far, Maldives has recorded 38 deaths due to complications of Covid-19.
