A man arrested from a narcotics operation conducted in Male’ City.
Maldives Police Service conducted the special operation jointly with Police intelligence and the Drug Enforcement Department of Police. Through the special operation, a 22-year-old man was arrested by police.
An apartment was checked, through a court order from the operation conducted on 29th October. Through this operation, two rubber packets, three plastic tins, a plastic bottle, and a piece of cellophane, was found to be suspicious of having drugs in it.
Regarding the drug bust, the criminal court decided to keep the arrested man under custody for 15 days and continue further investigations.
