The weapon and clothes worn by the perpetrators have been recovered from the attack on Naeema Moosa, who was found murdered in Manadhoo island of Noonu atoll.

Commissioner of Police Mohammed Hameed said two sharp weapons believed to have been used to attack Naeema and clothes believed to have been worn by the attackers were recovered from a pit.

The items were found on information received from two men arrested on charges of murder.

CP Hameed said police received a tip-off that evidence important for the investigation was buried in the field. They were set on fire at the place where they were buried, Hameed said.

The CP said the police investigation into Naeema's death is making progress.

Naeema's murder case is being investigated. Fingerprints and DNA samples have been taken from many people in Manadu.

Naeema was found murdered on April 07 when police entered her house after breaking the door of her house. Naeema was found dead with injuries on the floor of her room.
